...a truck book...

Then there's the ongoing saga "Sundays with Leah." She wants absolutely nothing to do with Nursery! Of course, 99% of the time she falls asleep within the first 5 minutes of being there. It's like her defense mechanism. She closes her eyes to escape the horrible reality surrounding her, and enters her dreamland. The little power naps never last too long, but once it's snack time, she's a little better. With food, who wouldn't be? Anyway, I've been banned from entering that room. It's nice to know that the Nursery leader insists upon me not being there so she can adjust and get used to it. He's determined to win her heart. We're trying new tactics in Operation Nursery Intiative. One of which is the Truck Book.

I originally got this book for Dillan from his school's book club. He liked it for a few months and then it went MIA for a while. I found it under the rug about a month ago and set it back on the shelf. It was love at first sight for Leah. I don't know what it is about the book, but she's hooked. We've even tried disguising it among the other books so she'll move on, but she always finds it! You have to read it 682 times a day. Over and over and over. I'll bet she has it memorized, she's just not saying so.

You know what Dory says, "just keep swimming..." She will like Nursery sooner than later. That's what I'm hoping everytime our leader brings Donovan to me. He will like it someday. That looks like a cute book, I will have to check it out when we visit.

I am totally with that mother. If not, you will wake up one day, and she will be 3 and you will still be standing next to her in nursery trying to get her to play with toys and coloring her picture for her. We have SEVERAL of those in my class. It really irks me. But most things do. Apparantly i've got the irkability threshold of a 93 year old man. (i.e. Short)

Seriously, she'll be fine (eventually). You must have a great nursery leader!
