This morning Dillan and I made cookies for him to share with his friends at school. They had to have green icing.
They're number 4s, if you can't tell.
These kids are too cute!
When I got to school, the kids were all seated at the table and all wearing cute elephant hats (it's safari week). Dillan got to sit at the head of the table with the stuffed birthday bear that sings "Happy Birthday to You." He had the honors of pressing the paw for the song to start.
The cookies were a hit. Thank you Miss Carol & Miss Melissa for making school special today for Dillan!
Birthday Heaven!
When we got home we found a package waiting for us. It came all the way from Tennessee! Dillan was so excited to open it and see what was inside. It was a wrapped present! That took him over the top. He tore it open and...tadaa!...Soccer Stuff! An official size 3 ball, some stylish socks, and a practice net! Wow! He set it down and got to kicking. He didn't stop all afternoon. It will be perfect for when soccer starts in the fall. Thank you Roxy (and family)!
What could it be???
Basking in soccer pleasure.
Later on that night the doorbell rang. Papa Rod is here! We're so excited to spend the weekend with him! It was tough to get to sleep tonight, lotta excitement round here!

My baby turns 1 in 2 weeks. It's breaking my heart. How do you do it FOUR times now?
That picture of him opening the present is amazing. The sheer joy on his face! I haven't felt that way about a present in forever.
