Even I'm jealous of myself! Last evening was definitely, eternally memorable. My fabulous mother took me to see Wicked at the Pantages Theatre. I had been begging Chris for a long time to take me, but I guess I was never convincing enough. Of course my mother had seen the show and so knew how vital it was that I see it. It was the greatest birthday gift ever! I have to go back! My grandmother, two aunts, cousin-in-law, and her mother all joined us. We arrived early and ate dinner at CPK. When we were seated for dinner, I looked around and realized how much fun I was having and we'd only just arrived!
The show? Incredible. Just amazing. The music totally overpowered me. I was ready to jump out of my seat and join them on stage. How invigorating it must be to perform every night and belt-it-out on stage, knowing you touch so many! Yes, I should have studied musical theater. Not that I'd be any good at it, but it would be fun. I'm hooked. If I had an endless cashflow I would frivolously spend it to travel, and inbetween-the theater.
It was very late when I finally got home, but Chris was willing to listen to me rave for awhile. I so wanted to tell him all the details of the story, but I also want him to see it! So I've refrained (for now) and we're currently on the lookout for our chance to go together. I couldn't sleep. When I finally did, my dreams were back at the theater, this time on stage. It's completely overpowered my thoughts. Nothing else is important right now, except this of course.
There are a few of you out there who made this night possible for me. First of all, my mom. I can't say thank you enough for taking me. I never want to forget it. Thank you for making it all possible and for your unconditional love, support and generosity. I love you! Second, to Kristin. Thank you for graciously taking my munchkins sans reservation while Chris was at school. I owe you BIG time! And finally, to my darling husband for willingly changing your work schedule for all this. For always being so patient and loving to me and the kids. Thank you for being the world's best daddy and husband. You're my hero, I love you!

I'm dying to see it! The ticket prices have been keeping me away, but I think we need to just bite the bullet.
I AM SOOO GREEN WITH ENVY! Seriously, you are one lucky girl! I can't wait to see (if ever)
Am I really this late to respond?!?! I am so glad you had such a wonderful time. ALL my family went last summer when they were in New York, but we missed the trip. I'm glad you had fun! Bring the kiddos by anytime =)
